POCKET LININGS

(MAKE 2)

Cast on 19 stitches. Work in stockinette stitch for 3½" (9cm). Leave on a spare needle.

FRONT

Cast on 100 (116, 132) stitches. Work 10 (8, 6) rows in stockinette stitch.

Decrease row (RS): K1, k2tog, knit to the last 3 stitches, ssk, k1.

Repeat Decrease row every 10th row 8, (9, 10) more times—82 (96, 110) stitches.

At the same time, when piece measures 5½" (14cm) from the cast-on edge, make the first pocket as follows:

Next Row (RS): Knit to the last 30 stitches and place the next 19 stitches onto a holder; knit the 19 held stitches of Pocket Lining 1, knit to the end. Continue in stockinette stitch and decrease as established until piece measures 9" (23cm) from the cast-on edge for the second pocket.

Next Row (RS): K10, place the next 19 stitches onto a holder, knit the 19 held stitches of Pocket Lining 2, knit to the end. Continue as established until piece measures 16 (17, 18)" [40.5 (43, 45.5)cm], ending with a WS row.
